I don’t know how it has been where you live, but in Nashville we have had a really mild winter so far. The day we left on the bus last week, the snow came to town, and with it the cold of winter. Now I know that many of you live in areas that get bombarded with snow, but in Nashville, lets just say a little goes a long ways! We get so little in the greater Nashville area that we can’t really justify the expense involved in the equipment to deal with it properly. So when I say we got a couple of inches, understand that in Nashville that is life stopping! Fortunately we were already gone on the bus and didn’t have to deal with any of it. But it was a different story for our families.
But as cold as it has been, it does not compare to what we experienced stepping off the bus this morning. Here in Des Moines, the heat wave has kicked in and brought the temp up to a healthy 10 degrees. Yikes! The fact that it was 6 degrees when we got up had us worried because Scott F. forgot to bring a coat this weekend. But when we saw that heat wave kick in and get it up to a smoldering 10 we knew all would be fine!
We are expecting a great time tonight with IMC concerts and then on to Mountain Home Arkansas tomorrow night. Make sure and join us if we are close to your neck of the woods. This week has been busy on the studio front as tracks were cut on Monday for the new Jubilee 3 project. Then on Tuesday L5 was in the studio cutting tracks for a new as of yet un-named project. It’s always fun to get started on new material and we look forward to getting to share it with you sometime later this year.
This week I am including a segment that we have done in the past called “A Few of My Favorite Things”. This time it features our baritone and resident funny man Scott Howard. Howie, as we refer to him on the bus, is truly a wonderful man of God and I know you will get a kick out of some of the things in his answers.
Also, it’s time to continue our video questions, so my next victim, I mean participant is our wonderful piano player, Trey Ivey. Please post any questions that you have for Trey and we will film his answers and post them on our video blog. If you have never seen the video blog I encourage you to check it out at www.youtube.com/legacyfiveblog There are some great things on there that I am sure you will enjoy.
So enjoy Howies answer and as always,
Until next time…..

Yeah Indiana weather is nothing exciting here. I think the most snow we had here was about an inch. Lol and then at one point, it was 40 degrees, thunderstorming, AND there were some counties with tornado warnings! It was pretty weird.
But glad you guys were ok in the cold weather, especially Scott with no coat!
Yay! I was actually wondering when the next Jubilee album would come out. I love all of the songs that are on the previous ones! Can’t wait for the new one!
Ok, I never did the previous questions with the other guys, so I’ll give this my best shot. Trey, congrats on being newly married! I would love to hear how you proposed to Kayla!
Just realized that what I put wasn’t much of a question. Lol sorry

Here in upstate NY we had that freak snowstorm last Oct, but nothing since. Been very warm. Supposed to get 6 inches tonight and tomorrow, and warm up and rain by next Tuesday.
Trey, I remember when Scott F. joined the Cathedrals. He was “young” too. George used to say, “he’s a cute little thing, ain’t he.” Now they’re all enjoying you being the youngest one. You are in a good place with a great group. What do you enjoy most about being part of L5?
PS: I am enjoying your piano CD.

I’m thinking we aren’t going to have much of a winter here in Southern Az. We’ve been in the high 60′s and into the 70′s all week. Last week it got cold..in the 50′s. We actually had to put sweatshirts on to go outside. I’m loving the unusually warm weather.
Judy, thats just wrong! I remember when I moved to Tennessee it was late in October when I looked out the front room window one morning and saw that it was sunny. So I put on typical California sunshine weather clothes, walked outside and was greeted by a nice 38 degree cold front. I had never in my life experienced anything like that before! I had never owned anything heavier than a lined wind-breaker. How could it be that cold with the sun shining. I have since learned to check the temp and not just look outside!
Just what would you have done last week when it was 8* here? I don’t think I’d even think of putting a jacket on at 38*…..
I typically experience the opposite. I’ll look outside and see it’s overcast or really windy and think that I need a jacket or warmer clothes on. Then I step outside and realize that it is WAY warmer than it looks.
Enjoy the nice weather while you’ve got it. It will be hot soon enough. I keep trying to tell the folks here in CA that they ain’t seen HOT until they have spent time in Phx. They think Bakersfield is the hottest area in all of the West.
We had our first snow on Christmas Day here in Montreal, then last week we had several storms so there is a lot of snow on the ground now. It is cold but the forecast is for warmer temperatures on Monday, with rain, so I suppose that will take the snow. I hope your concert went well last night. I watched the DVD “Live in California” (again) and enjoyed it as much as the other times. I was praying for you as I was watching and asking the Lord to bless you where you were last night.
My question for Trey: Do you sing as well as play the piano? At the last concert I attended (Mackinac Island) I noticed you were singing along with the group, but I was not sure whether your mike was on or not. I really enjoy your piano playing.
Sorry, I forgot to post with my question ; Anne from Montreal
Winter is definitely here for me too, though it’s still rather rainy and slushy where I come from. But I’ve had some bad days driving up to school!
Here’s a question for Trey: Who does he think he’d like to vote for in the upcoming election?
well yall can keep the snow but some colder weather would be welcomed here in Lagrange, Ga. (Troup County).
Trey, I like the fact that you like a police scanner. i am a deputy sheriff and my question would be do you have a heavy or light foot. lol
My question for Trey:
What was your reaction and reply when Scott Fowler told you that you were the next pianist for Legacy 5
Trey; what was your reaction and what did you say when Scott told you that you were going to be the pianist for Legacy 5?
Trey: Which pianist(s) has been your greatest influence and why?
Jenny from Illinois
Here’s my question for Trey:
How did you end up auditioning for L5 in the first place? To go from classical piano to Southern Gospel is quite a leap. I’m glad you are with us.
Sorry, forgot to post where I am.

Sorry this is so late! Been meaning to post for a week. I actually wrote a comment before and I accidentally reloaded the page and lost it. I hate it when that happens :-}
Yeah, the weather is weird here too…. We’re having the warmest January that we’ve had in 9 or 10 years….. Joy. Lol
Hope Scott didn’t catch a cold in Des Moines!
I loved the “a few of my favorite things” bit with Howie! Papadeauxs is one of my favorite restaurants too
Trey: …. Ok, it seems like there is always something humorous happening with L5… What is one of the funniest/most interesting things that has happened to you(or because of you) since joining L5?
Extra questions(if you have time):

What’s your middle name?
What is your favorite part of the L5 program?
Favorite/Least Favorite foods?
Favorite pastime(other than watching the Braves
Highlight of your career (thus far
What is your pet peeve?
——————————–
Ok, ok! I know it’s a lot of questions…. You can pick just pick what you want to use, Gus
HEY, I have an idea……. Since Trey has only been with L5 for about a year, it’s possible that you guys don’t know everything about him, either. So, why don’t you guys ask him a question? That would be fun
) Just a thought! Can’t wait for the video!
That’sna great idea about them asking a question about Trey!!
Oops, I forgot to say “Naomi in Jasper, TX”… ma bad
I think they know that! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!
Yikes! I hope I made it in time!! I meant to reply to this forever ago but didn’t. :-p
Well, naomi already asked a bunch I wanted to know.lol. Let’s see….
We all know you’re an awesome pianist, but do you have a hidden talent?
And if you have time, I’ve got one more…. The guys are always teasing you and playing pranks on you. What is the best joke/prank you’ve ever played on one of THEM?
Ok I’m done. Love you guys and miss you! Hope to see you soon!
